Quartz Glass Frosting Powder ST-102 is specially made for highly-pure silicon-dioxide-quartz glass , such as: Quartz Halogen, tungsten lamps etc. ST-102 Quartz Glass Etching Powder, based on industrial grade Hydrochloric Acid, can be used at indoor temperature. The Quartz Halogen lamps frosted by ST-102 are white and soft. 

Frosting Operation >> Preparation of the Frosting Solution     
* Mature the frosting solution at least 24 hours before use
* The ratio of powder ST-102 to Hydrochloric Acid (≥31) is 1:0.30 
* Keep the powder in a plastic container, slowly pour Hydrochloric Acid in, and keep stirring 
   the solution evenly. Finally, cover the container.
* Keep maturation over 24 hours before use (The longer, the better)
* The newly-prepared solution is too thick, and its temperature will fall down slowly, 
   so don’t apply it until it comes back to be normal in temperature and thickness. 

Frosting Operation >>Frosting Process
* Dip the clean Quartz glass into the solution and constantly stir it
* Take out the frosted glass to dry it
* The frosting time varies with single-layer or double layer etching. It varies between 
   5 and 10 minutes
* A second frosting can help the glass appears more white.
  
Frosting Operation >>Wash & Dry Process 
* Rinse and wash the frosted glass under the running water or dip the glass into the
  5-10 diluted Hydrochloric Acid for 20-60 seconds to make abrasive particles on the 
   glass easy to remove
* Rinse and wash the glass again under the running water and dry it with air.
